OMG, LEAFtv’s Year of Wellness box is officially my new fave subscription box! I love subscription boxes because 1. I love getting mail and 2. I love surprises.
When subscription boxes first started to become a major thing, I LOVED them. I was the first to be on the Brichbox, PopSugar Must Have Box, and Fab Fit Fun train. However, I after a few months I felt like I was getting very similar products so I canceled Birchbox and Fab Fit Fun.
If I wanted to sign up again for a subscription box, then it would need to be something that REALLY excited me. And I the Year of Wellness box made the cut!
I was sold on the box because I know I can get so much value out of wellness products. They’re products that are going to benefit me in my day-to-day rather than getting random lipsticks that I’m never going to use.
With the Year of Wellness box though, I was confident that I was going to receive things that not only have been on my list to try, but that were going to be high quality and beneficial to living a holistic life.
Having ordered my first Year of Wellness box in late September, I was a little nervous that I would end up missing the September box, but I was THRILLED to find out that I would start with the Detox box regardless of when I ordered my box.
So what do I mean by the detox box?! Every month they have a theme like nourish, glow, rest, etc. and it goes in a specific order no matter when you sign up so everyone starts with Detox which I think is awesome!
I think that’s so cool because it really ties all the items together so you can really focus on that aspect of your life.
My absolute fave item that came in the box was the copper water bottle. Not just because it’s gorgeous, but also because it actually is beneficial for your water! The copper helps fight off free radicals that cause aging. WHO KNEW?!
Here’s the breakdown of the items that came in my Detox box:
Skin Brush: I have been meaning to get a dry brush for over a year now, but every time I’m somewhere that sells it, I forget. So YAY I finally have one. How does this apply to detoxing? Dry brushing helps move the toxins through the lymphatic system. Can’t wait to try this out so I can share my experience doing it with y’all!
Herbivore Rose Clay Soap: One of the best things about this box is how high quality the products are. Recently I’ve been LOVING Herbivore products. I’m so excited about trying the Rose Clay Soap! How cool is it that the pink clay helps draw out impurities?
Ayurvedic Copper Water Bottle: This is my FAVORITE! Seriously, isn’t anything that gets you excited to drink water the best?! BONUS the copper gives you an extra perk to your water!
Coconut Oil Pulling: I’ve been oil pulling on and off for about 2 or 3 years now. I personally don’t mind oil pulling. What’s really cool about this though is that it’s flavored with mint! We no longer have to be stuck with that super coconuty flavor!
Palo Santo Sticks: I have been meaning to get these for FOREVER, but didn’t know where in KC I could buy them (coincidentally this weekend I found a spot). Burning Palo Santo helps “reset” your home.
Liver Detox Tea: The liver is one of the most important things to cleanse. A healthy liver does WONDERS.
Clean Daily Shake: I’m not the biggest shake fan because I like eating hot foods. I will say though that I’m always up for trying something new, especially if it’s something that’s going to help with digestion!
