Last night I got to live out a dream of mine that I’ve had for over 5 years, which was to see Mindy Kaling speak live.

I’ve always been a huge fan of her humor, her writing, and her honesty about how women can be successful. Time after time, Mindy reminds us that if we’re not happy with where we’re at then create it yourself and she does lead by example.

I was looking at the back of her book last night and I absolutely loved the way that she shared what keeps her heart beating. And yes, a lot of the things on there are there for humor, but at the same time, they are honestly things that really do light her up.

So in today’s email, I thought it’d be fun if we could think about what keeps are strongest muscle beating.

Open up the notes app on your phone or your computer and start listing the things that light you up and keep your heart beating. From family to binge watching Real Housewives, write it all down. Keep this note with you and whenever you’re feeling uninspired open up the note and read your list to remind yourself of all the amazing things that keep you going strong.
