Who doesn’t love brunch? I live for pancakes, bacon, french toast, fresh fruit, eggs, croissants, coffee, mimosas…I could go on forever. Toast is one of my favorite LA brunch spots, not only because I can always find a table to sit at outside, but because one of their menu items includes french toast, eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit. I thank my friend Christine for introducing it to me in freshman year in college.
Dressing up for brunch is just as fun. Ok, almost as fun. You can’t go wrong with denim for brunch, unless it’s 90 degrees out and you’re eating outside (aka every summer Dallas brunch experience ever). In that case the dress is the way to go. Since it’s day time, it’s important to keep it casual while still looking chic. This is why I love to pair denim with chunky woven heels like the Rachel Zoe ones I wore above. I also believe in layering for brunch. You never know if you’re going to end up sitting directly in the sun or if you’re going to be right underneath the air conditioning vent. Why not incorporate your “always prepared” style like I did with this very lightweight jacket.
I’m also super excited to announce my styling business. There are so many exciting things in the works, but one of the things I am most excited and proud of is my one-on-one program. I know that life in your twenties is crazy busy and between working hard to advance your career and balancing your social life other things in your life may have fallen off the prioritization list. Maybe you’ve lost your sense of style because you are different than who you were two years ago, even last year. Maybe you wake up every morning feeling like you have nothing to wear. Maybe you feel like you have started to lose passion for the things you used to love and make time for. My one-on-one program is a way for you to regain that confidence in your clothes. You’re going to wake up every morning feeling excited about what you’re going to wear that day and in turn you’ll be starting your day with positivity. This positivity is what will give you the strength to reach your goals.
