Last weekend I went out to Los Angeles to visit one of my college sorority sisters, as well as to attend the Katy Perry concert in celebration of our 24th birthdays (that were a few months ago). My favorite part about spending a weekend in Los Angeles is that I make an effort to visit as many different neighborhoods as I can. When I lived there, I didn’t explore as much as you’d think. I really stayed in Westchester, Marina del Rey, Santa Monica, and Beverly Hills. Sometimes I think that I’ve seen more of LA since I’ve moved than in the three years that I lived there.
One of my favorite neighborhoods to visit this past weekend in Los Angeles was Larchmont. It’s the cutest street lined with boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants. It’s absolutely amazing how many storefronts they can fit on a block. I went to Larchmont around lunch time and went to Pinches Tacos. They were amazing, even for someone from Texas.
Another new place I tried was Cofax in the Fairfax District. Cofax has been written about a lot recently with people claiming that it has the best breakfast burrito in LA. These articles don’t lie. It was amazing.
Other activities included drinks at the Bungalows at the Fairmont in Santa Monica with an ocean view, a hike up Runyon (one of my weekend in Los Angeles must do’s), shopping on Abbot Kinney in Venice and a stop for gelato over by Loyola Marymount University.
